Comparison
Attaché vs Windsor.ai
Both make the same promise — your marketing data queryable in Claude via MCP — with two opposite philosophies. Windsor.ai is a connector platform (350+ sources) born as an ETL, whose MCP can also edit your campaigns. Attaché is read-only by design, built for agencies and their clients. This page lays out the real differences, including where Windsor is the better choice.

In one sentence
If you need dozens of sources (CRM, databases, e-commerce) and accept an AI that can act on your campaigns, look at Windsor.ai. If you want Claude to read GA4, Google Ads and Search Console — for yourself or a whole client portfolio — without ever being able to change anything, pick Attaché.
The differences that matter
| Attaché | Windsor.ai | |
|---|---|---|
| Type of tool | Read-only access layer: requests are proxied to the APIs in real time | Connector platform with ETL roots, plus an MCP server |
| Sources covered | GA4, Google Ads, Search Console — Meta Ads and more coming | 350+ sources: advertising, CRM, e-commerce, databases |
| Writing / editing | Impossible by design: no write scope is ever requested | AI campaign management available: budgets, bids, pausing (Meta, Google, TikTok…) |
| Pricing model | Flat fee per connected client, every source included | Free for 1 source, then tiers with row allowances and overage charges |
| End-client onboarding | One link: the client authorises their own accounts via OAuth and can revoke | Connections are created with the access the Windsor user already holds |
| Agency multi-client | Native master connector, per-member scopes, cross-client reports | Multi-account per source, organised connection by connection |
| Freshness | Real time, on every question | Real time via MCP; scheduled for ETL destinations |
| Dashboard destinations | None — Attaché is not an ETL | Sheets, Looker Studio, BigQuery, Power BI and more |
When Windsor.ai is the right call
- You need sources far beyond Google: CRM, databases, e-commerce platforms.
- You also want to feed dashboards or a warehouse (their historical core business).
- You want an AI that can act on your campaigns — and you own what that implies.
- You want a permanent free plan for a single source.
When Attaché is the right call
- You are an agency: each client authorises their own accounts, you get one master connector over the whole portfolio.
- Read-only is non-negotiable — nobody wants an AI touching the bids on a client account.
- You want a predictable per-client price, not a row meter to watch.
- You want end clients to see what is shared and revoke it themselves, directly at Google.
Or both, honestly
They can coexist: Windsor to feed your historical dashboards, Attaché for day-to-day read-only exploration across client accounts. The decision mostly comes down to write access and to who owns the credentials.
Frequently asked questions
Is Attaché an alternative to Windsor.ai?
For "querying GA4, Google Ads and Search Console from Claude", yes, directly. For "350 sources into a warehouse" or "an AI managing campaigns", no — those are choices we deliberately ruled out.
Why refuse write access — is that not less powerful?
It is less powerful, and that is the point. A connector that only requests read scopes can never pause a campaign, change a budget, or be hijacked into doing so. For an agency plugging in client accounts, that is what makes trust possible.
What is the issue with row-based pricing?
Nothing, as long as volumes stay low. But a team that queries its data heavily discovers the overage on the invoice. Attaché charges per connected client, however many questions you ask.
Windsor has far more connectors — why pick Attaché?
Because breadth is not depth. Attaché only covers Google sources (Meta is coming), but with the multi-client model, team scopes, auditing and client-side revocation — which no catalogue of 350 connectors provides.
